This is the fifth edition of Aulton’s Pharmaceutics:The Design and Manufacture of Medicines. The firstedition was published in 1988, the second in 2002,the third in 2007 and the fourth in 2013. The pedigreeof the book is, however, actually much older. It wasoriginally known as Tutorial Pharmacy (which itselfwent to six editions) and was initially edited by JohnCooper and Colin Gunn, and later by Sidney Carter. Professor Mike Aulton and Professor Kevin Taylorcontinue their editing role and have identified newauthors and fresh subject matter for this new edition.
